Artist Bio
Paula recently moved to New Jersey but frequently returns to Brooklyn, New York, to eat fabulous food and visit Coney Island. She lives in a ramshackle 1920's home with her husband, two boys, and two or three fish (depending on the cleanliness of the tank). When not illustrating, she makes jewelry out of vintage bottle caps and paints some incredibly folky/kitschy designs on furniture and other wooden accessories.

Paula graduated from Parsons School of Design and has spent many years freelancing. Her clients include American Showcase, Black Enterprise Magazine, the Boston Globe, Cancer Care, Clarkson Potter, Crown Publishers, Houghton Mifflin, National Geographic, and Scholastic.

During the week Paula draws and paints and meets her deadlines. Sometimes she makes fabulous vegetarian meals or embarrasses her kids at their schools. On weekends Paula can be found perusing garage sales for treasures with her incredibly bored children. Then she goes home to meet her deadlines so she can support her terrible garage sale addiction.
